It Buggeth Me...

OK so I have to admit. It really does bug me...

that none of my sisters ever read my blog.

I'm Jealous of Adelle and Camilla.

Sisters, you must read my blog. And comment uponeth it. That means you, Carolee... yes, you have to get internet in your apartment. And you, Cait... well, really you have no excuse except you're not really fond of the internets and you're newly married and wrapped up in honeymoon-type bliss as well as the stress of working a part time job while taking 18 credits.

Still, that's no excuse.

Am I right?

....sigh.

Awww! If it makes you feel any better, I follow your blog pretty religiously. I hardly ever comment on anyone's except Adele's, but I absolutely read yours with flattering regularity :)

You are absolutely right. In fact, I wish Care and Caits would blog/blog more too.

I don't know why, but i feel that some are resisting the digital age to the point of not seeing any good in anything (though that's not necessarily my sisters.)

When I first started blogging me I was teased a lot about it (by everyone... not just my family) and there was a little eye-rolling when I would mention visiting peoples' blogs and having discussions etc.

But now it's pretty much an accepted phenomenon, isn't it? There's nothing trashy about online interaction. In fact I feel so grateful for it... especially when I'm interacting with people I know in real life. It is sometimes the only grown-up interaction I get all day, and it works out because i can take a couple minutes to participate (as opposed to going over to someone's house for a couple hours, finding a babysitter etc... I really would not be a social person at all right now if it weren't for the internet.)

Not to say face-to-face interaction isn't absolutely necessary. It is. We try to have something like that planned most weekends. But the week gets reeeeeally long if you're only talking to kids 7 and under. :)

I know what you mean. None of my siblings or children read my blog. Nor does my husband. I just remind myself that we all have different interests, and they're all busily involved in other things.
